Alzheimer’s Association offers “Living With Alzheimer’s—Early Stage” a 3-Part Series for Persons with the Disease and Their Caregivers

The Greater Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will host a free, three-part series entitled “Living with Alzheimer’s-Early Stage.”  This series is specifically designed for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and/or dementia with a separate three-part series early-stage caregivers. The first presentation will be held on October 19, 2011, from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The program will be held at the St. John’s United Church of Christ, located at 101 St. John Road, in Michigan City. Upcoming presentations in The series will continue on November 16, 2011 and December 14, 2011 at the same time and location. This series is designed to answer questions that one might have after receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.  The presentations will cover information for needed by people with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia who are in the early stage of the disease. The early-stage program describes the symptoms of the disease, explains the legal, financial and resource planning that needs to be done and explains the various components of a care team and how to successfully work with each component during the early-stage of the disease.
